Are DP2's assets open source?
« on: August 15, 2021, 10:03:48 AM »
Hi!

I would like to develop an open source multiplayer fps using the godot engine. It is possible to use quake maps in godot. So I'm looking for open source maps, models, textures that I can integrate into my game. DP2 has great content. Is it open source? I can't find the asset repository.

Thanks and Regards, Andy

Hey Andy, the source files are a mix of licenses right now.  I've been trying to redo everything to be GPL-compatible, so the project is under a consistent license, but I don't know if that'll ever fully happen.  Many of the maps are community made.  Some people have shared the map sources and others have not.

The sources for some of the media are available here: http://dplogin.com/files/mediasource/
