I searched long and hard on how to do this. It resulted in a long and in-detail page (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~timf/videocodec/idcin.html) on how to make a .cin file. I then spend the best part of 2 hours searching for qdata.exe before I found a copy. I followed the rest of the instructions to the letter and yet it just does this:
C:\Quake2\baseq2>qdata intro.qdt
Qdata Plus : 16:08:45 Nov 2 1998
--------------- intro.qdt ---------------
workingdir='C:\Quake2\baseq2\'
outputdir='C:\Quake2\baseq2\'
entering C:\Quake2\baseq2\intro.qdt
Time elapsed: 0.000000
C:\Quake2\baseq2>
Has anyone here ever managed to make a .cin file?
Better yet, can someone send me a copy of qdata.exe if they have one? I think mine is for heretic II and may not contain what I need...

Attached, guaranteed quake2 version.
I've never made a .cin, though I had everything ramped up to do it.
