Title: Unknown Command <svextensions>

Hey,
Occasionally, immediately when I click on a server to play, something strange happens. Right when the map to be loaded shows up, it says "unknown command <svextensions> in the console. I am not initiating this command in any way. What is going on?

You don't have build 20 (or higher). The extensions thing is a new feature designed to maintain backwards compatibility with b20 and up in builds past b20 and up. Unfortunately, jits can't retroactively change all the builds to include this feature, so it comes up as an error in <=b19.

Solution: Get build 20.

Jits really needs to kill the backwards compatibility thing.  Or at least, limit it to the oldest you can use is B19.
