A banned player is renting a server, and would like to play on it, how can this be done?
This is not to discuss the ethics of them playing, they're paying for the server so they should be able to play on it.
-
Nope, they should not be allowed to. They are bad people. No money for you.
-
If its not possible i'll modify my hosts file so that dplogin.com sends them to a domain i control and have it check for bans there.
-
Theoretically if you were to keep your server from communicating with the DPLogin server, you wouldn't get any of the bans. I'm sure doing so would get your removed from the serverlist pretty quickly, though.
-
he doesnt wanna be on the serverlist. just be able to connect.

Real easy - block port 27900 at his firewall

Will dplogin and such work still?
-
No, dplogin and the GBL are tied together.

Seems a bit harsh considering they were just showing how simple it was.
-
Of course things are simple if you just use someone else's tools. That's no reason to actually spread the idea/program (which, ironically, is what Kilo got banned for in the first place).
-
if someone is banned, it is suppost to mean they cant play, not that they just cant play on public servers
