Title: New GT Website
Post by: Cameron on February 14, 2008, 02:39:03 AM
Alright, after a bit of time talking about it its time to see what the community thinks of the site before anything else happens to it.  Its got forums, servers section and so on.

http://wateva.uberskilled.com/gt/ (http://wateva.uberskilled.com/gt/)

Need some positive and negative feedback.

Erm... That was taken off the old website.  It needed to be expanded so i made it a bit bigger.  If it needs to go back to its original size i can put it back.

need to have a link to the match tool on the main page (although i know it's not the same theme as the main page)

also, i'm not really a fan of the reflection underneath the category images on the left... makes it kinda hard to read when you're just scanning the page -- so does the top-heavy brightness of the links at the top of the page.  otherwise, pretty nice.

I already put the link down the side on the menu under servers but havn't uploaded it to the site yet.  When i get on the other computer i will.

@Warwulf.  Wow, that looks nice. Wonder what loial will think....

For the original one (perm one as stated) would need resizing for the top.  Any ideas HOW since resizing with anything like paint (LOL) or the browser resizing is useless as stated by lekky.  Something that would do it and not loose quality would be useful.

any new tagz....like the one presented will be considered a gift.....like the staute of liberty
Could use it as a banner somewhere....

Aye anything that pays GT homage or respect...will be considered sacared and binding as far as I am concerned.

Not homage so much as .....a way of life and living principals..

1. We all fall, not fail.

2. We all are one with or with out our a clan.

3. We all are one. If you have passed through us, you understand the honesty and friendship involved.

4. ???  Thats up  to you.

Cameron, in case no one has, I'd like to thank you for your efforts.  They are greatly appreciated.  Keep up the good work.  BTW I have a lil something for ya as soon as I catch up with you...

I think its fixed.  darn stupid cPanel stinks and doesnt reset the bandwidth used each month.  Same with the disk space usage.  It says i am using 2GB when there is only about 250MB on there.  Still hasnt reset but i think now there is unlimited bandwidth so there should be no problems.  Hopefully......  Updates of the site coming soon.

@Lekky: That program did a bit of a better job but i didn really notice a difference.  Dont think i would in 37 degrees.  So HOT.  Did see some though.

@Herron: I'm in the middle of changing them and making something new.  Thats 4 all of them.

@Warwulf:  That banner i dont think fits in where i put it so i'll put up a index2.php on there in about 2 hours and see what happens.

EDIT: darn stupid network died 4 some reason and it may take some time 2 get back up.

O.....  Dont worry. I managed to do it myself.

Couldn't upload at all last night.  Actually found it hard to play paintball:

Its been doing that for ages.  Cuts out then comes back.

Doug if you happen to talk to Sharon anytime soon, see if I can get login enough to enter pw'ed servers. idk what anyone needs "full" login for, but if we do start up a league/tourney we're certainly gonna need servers. =D

Well, let's all try to hook up on Vent this weekend...  We better get back on subject in this thread.

Cameron, hopefully Sharon and Snipen will be around and we'll get their thoughts on the website.  Have a great day

Dunno, I'm having trouble getting Photoshop 2 work still.  Think I'm gonna re-download it.  Just trying to fix the category backgrounds so they are not reflective.  Does anyone like the Graffiti-Taggerz news thing.  Put it there 2 see what it looks like and if it works.  Also i just put the re-sized header up.  Looks a bit better 2 me.

Edit:  Just put up an updated index file.  Removed some crap out of the way.

Cs3.

And to be honest, the design reminds me of Web 0.5

I know, i had CS3 but it died.  Downloading it now.

EDIT:  Lol, for a bit of fun i downloaded like a 75Mb portable photoshop that cant even SAVE a file.  Geez thats funny.

Ok, the guy the guy that owns the new paintcentral servers iz like the BEST GUY EVER.  He is going to fix up the category images.  I told him to take as long as he wants as I bet he has other things to do.  Re-downloaded Photoshop and a crack wont even work.  Dunno why.

I've also put up a poll on the site, couldn't figure out how 2 make one here, didnt really want to anyway.  Just want to see how it goes and what people think of it.  If more options are needed i'll add em in.
