Regardless of gamemode, castle1 always spawns the middle white flag.
- I do not have a castle1.ent.
- I'm using the castle1.txt mapinfo that was included in Build 21.
- I've tried changing the default and supports in the mapinfo to just ctf and it still spawned middle flag.
- I also loaded up the entitiy info for castle1 and it doesn't have anything in the middle except an autococker spawn.
Everything was working fine up until server update. I've also confirmed that this problem happens on the EV1 servers.

Thanks for the report. Castle1 and some of the other original maps had a hardcoded centerflag added. I adjusted the way the entity data was loaded but it didn't account for the hardcoded entities. I should probably just remove the hardcoded stuff and make some ent files.
