Wouldn't it be cool to be able to lie down, like on most 1st person shoot 'em ups? It wouldn't neccisarily take away from the fast-paced action as some maps would require you to be able to lie down. camping ,ay be an issue, though
-
Oh NO.
-
Agree'd. It certainly WOULD take away from the fast-paced nature of the game, given that you wouldn't be able to move anymore. Plus, it'd make players about three times harder to hid head-on, while they could still fire perfectly fine.

... unless you simply hit that key and get back up.

of course. thats the whole point, right?
but their firing ability wouldn't be "perfectly fine" if they can't move like normal.
this doesn't sound like a necessarily bad idea. i might not vote it up, but i probably wouldn't vote it down.

DP characters crouching already have a very small hitbox in comparison to other shooters.

lying down, their hit box wouldn't be shrunk, just rotated...
-
Horribad idea.
-
Agreed, don't even come up with such bad ideas. Movement is fine as it is.
-
okay, no need to flame over me, it was just an idea.
I think that the mappers could compensate for it. Not being able to move whilest lying down would be a huge disadvantage, but then again, if the person shooting at you was head on, then it would make it extremely hard to kill you. It's a bit like timed grenades, really. Once you have the hang of where to use it, then you can use it to your advantage
-
ok look, how would you feel if you thought up something you liked, but someone came along and told you "don't even come up with such bad ideas"??
You can say you don't like it without taking away his right to even post the stuff he thinks of. That's the whole point of this sub-forum, to throw ideas around. Don't squelch ideas.

Cheers :D

The term for that is "prone."

-1. It doesn't fit this style of gameplay, and it's just one more button to bind.
-
Well, I wouldn't mind having to press something half-way accross the keyboard to go prone. You wouldn't in a heated battle, would you?
