Hi, this is the map I have been working on for a while. Its a map that is a capture the flag. There is a blue team and a purple team. The features are:
* You can climb the walls in the bases
* There are a few camper spots.
Screenshots:
This is the flag base on both sides:

At a quick glance, map looks great. One thing I did notice off the bat was in your third screen shot. The wood texture showing on the ceiling shouldn't be there. Just click on the face and set the face texture to the ceiling texture.
Click the face
Find the ceiling texture
Push alt+f (apply to face)
Do it all the wood that is showing.
Other then that, looks nice. I beta test soon and give some more feedback.

Thats brick. I'm fixing it now.
EDIT: The texture up there is ROOFP1_1. What texture you want up there?
-
The same as whatever the ceiling is. It just looks more realistic.
-
wat u mean Garrett?
-
now i get it!

I personally don't like the idea of climbing walls. I was watching him make it (being his brother) and it just irritated me that you can climb walls. No offence Todd. I just don't like the idea. But if little rocks were on the wall it looks a bit more realistic but that would take time. Thats all until I actually have some fun on it with Rick when he searches for errors...
BTW TODD. EDIT YOUR POSTS. People dont like people double posting, triple posting for the fact. Hes only new to the forums though.
*Cameron walks into the room where todd is and tells him off.

I like the idea of being able to climb the rocks. Cam cam cam, I hope toodd kicks you

He hasn't seen the post yet. Don't plan on him seeing it until he fixes the roof which wont happen til easter is over. Mum wont let him on the computer.
-
I actually liked it except some of the mid......
-
Yeh, the thing where you climb from low to the bridge is irritating.
-
i have to agree with cam. i dont like the fact that you can climb up flat vertical walls. its just unrealistic and looks kinda funny

I think it's a neat idea, and for a (first?) map it's fairly decent. The high paths are a waste of time, though, because they take so much longer then the straight shot path right down the center.

Its his second.

The shingles don't work well for a ceiling (shingles go on the TOP of a roof, not the bottom!) I would put a hole above the flag that you can drop down into, in case somebody's sitting in the corner of the flag room guarding the side entrances. It also gives you a reason to climb the walls. Some of the walls shouldn't have the ladder texture checked, though, like the doorways - there's nowhere to climb, and they just cause you to get stuck. As spook said, there's no real reason to go up high since it's so much faster to just go straight across the bottom.
I've uploaded the map to the beta server. I'll send you a PM on how to load it up so you can play test it with other people.

I love the idea how u try to run into and cap the flag and before you go into the flag base you get stuck on the walls on the entrance.
