hey does anyone know an site where you can download jump map seperatly and also where can u get the textures cuz i don't seen to be able to download them when i go on a map but mostly i need that jump map question answered plz, ty ;D

Hey, you know about this really cool mod called q2jump? IT'S LIKE PAINTBALL BUT WITHOUT THE GAMEPLAY WHICH IS OBVIOUSLY HOW YOU PREFER IT.

I'm not a one of the computer savy guys but I believe MOD is short for modification. In this case a modification of quake making it all about jump maps. That is my simple deduction skills. A lot of players discourage playing jump maps because they don't want to have an increase in members who don't like to actually play the game for the reason it was made. I personally love to play a few jump maps when I get too bored and they really helped me learn to get better at in-game jumping.

lol if dp isn't a jump mod, why would dp mappers make dp jump maps? just a thought?

well knack, i mean like eh it would bring people into the game if we offered jumping too..well like we do anyway.

Or drive people away when they get the game to, say, play paintball, and hop on a server to find people just trying to jump to different ledges.
The thing is there's an entire mod dedicated to this. More than one mod, actually, and they're much better suited for it.

Ok, so paintball isn't a jump mod. However, the inability of some of our most respected members to answer a question is worrying. Regardless of your position, you should at least answer his question

Chef answered the maps question. As for the textures they aren't in this game. They're quake2 textures and cannot be legally redistributed. Even if you have them, they won't look right because they use a different palette. If you want to play quake2 jump maps, get Quake 2 and play the q2jump mod.

I hate jump maps, so why would I help distribute them?

everyone thanks for the comments and not need to be horrible, i guess wat i am really trying to say is that if you personally don't like jump maps they so be it others do. and Zorchenhimer u need to chill abit i didin't exactly ask for you to distribute any.

Inabillity?? I think not. THis isn't a jump mod - no reason to give any information to make it appear that it is.
