I've tried basically everything I could think of, and still, I have nothing.
I've searched through topics, but I still can't find anything.
A detailed explanation of how to do it would be MUCH appreciated.

Once the server is started,
exec server.cfg
and then login as normal.
-
Alright. I'm new to this, but I think I did it right.
-Logged into paintball
-Went to my server
-Loaded my CFG. file
-Put password in
-bad password
-
Also, it says it can't load the exec config/server file.
My photobucket wont load, so this is the best I can do:
Date: 2008-04-11
Winstock initialized
======Paintball II Initialized======
Couldn't exec configs/myserver.cfg
-
do you have a myserver.cfg in pball/configs ?
-
do you have a myserver.cfg in pball/configs ?
Lol, I just came back to edit that post.
No, I don't. I had screwed that up, and reset it to default. How do I make it load the one I'm using right now?
-
Err... just figure out the name of your server CFG file (or make one if you must), ensure the passwords are what you want them to be, and then exec it in-game.
-
Well what I think the problem is, is that it's trying to load something that isn't even there.
How do I prevent this?
And I've already tried all of the passwords and stuff, and it just says bad password. That's after I load the Server CFG.
-
lets see a screen shot of your console
-
My photobucket wont work.
I have screenshots, just not an IMG code for them, because they wont upload.
I'll try again.
-
attach the image to here
-
Even better: use the 'condump' command. Then you don't need a screenshot.

Thats my console after trying to EXEc the file, and entering the password.

Thats my connection thing, that I started up before I started paintball.

Your server config is called 'myserver.cfg' not 'myserver.cfg.cfg'. The console points that out pretty well, I think.
-
So change it from Cfg.cfg to just Cfg.?
-
Yes. You need to provide the 'exec' command with the actual name of your config. It can't guess for you.
Well, I'm just assuming you didn't name it .cfg.cfg. That would be silly. Either way, make %100 sure that you are executing a file that exists in your pball/configs directory. That's all there is to it- no tricks, no obscure bugs. If something's going wrong, it's your fault. :D
-
LOL!
Would it be best if I just make another CFG file?
-
When we play at school the person who starts the server from "start new game" automatically gets admin powers. If someone else wants it when i started giving it to my friends we all knew the 150 login set in config.cfg i told them so we could all login. So it should automatically give you full admin when you start it.

Thanks for the help guys.
I figured it out.
