Post by: ak-47 on April 26, 2008, 04:43:34 AM
whenever i try and load a demo that i renamed after it has finished, it says like "couldnt load matchvsij.bsp"

so like when i rename it, it somehow changes the map name or something.. whats going on

Did you put the demo in "Demos" file?

You cant take off the .dm2 at the end. matchvsij.dm2

You have to type in 'map matchvsij.dm2' as well.

You're probably in a situation where XP is hiding the extensions by default.

Quite possibly the dumbest thing you can do on an OS.

Anyway, to start up a demo with the map command, you have to:
1. Make sure the demo is in your pball/demos folder.
2. Make sure it has the extension .dm2
3. Type 'map <demoname>.dm2', where demoname is the name of the file. (Sans brackets, of course)

Paintball only can read 1 format for Demos, which is .dm2, So you wouldnt be able to view it in Paintball. (I think)
