Title: i.d. in new server builds

What's up with the new i.d.? (not really new, but in the more recent server builds) You have to stare at the person for 2-3 seconds before the player's name actually shows up. I used to use i.d. frequently in-game and found it to be a very useful tool. It's really very handy if you're taking the same route as someone, and don't know if they're some newbie who won't back you up. At first I thought this i.d. problem was just in the new client builds, but when I played on old Graffiti servers, the i.d. worked like it used to. I'm not saying to completely get rid of the new system, but maybe add an option as to which i.d. system you want to use.

Just a thought.

I completely agree with Fyre here.  The I.D makes it a lot easier to know what you should do in a game I.E whos right next to you and whether they will be able to back you up at all.  Also its easier to know if an enemy is near where youre aiming :)

It's been tweaked, but not released yet (though it is up on ev1 for testing purposes).  The ID is instant for teammates now and takes 2 server frames (0.2 seconds) to show up on enemies.  The old ID system made it too easy to tell where enemies were without even seeing them.
