Title: previously working clan tag now not
Post by: mewa on May 21, 2008, 10:41:50 PM
So about 2-3 weeks ago the tag/name for my clan stopped working. I had been using it for at least a couple months before this in the exact same format. My other members of the clan all able to use the same tag/format that I was using.

The only changes I can think of were an upgrade to build22 and using Zorchenheimers newest menus, which occurred some period before and after the login problems, respectively.

Even though I believe it too be unrelated to an excess of characters, would it be possible to include a simple block in the funname setup menu when someone exceeds the number allowed? Considering the amount of people who seem to have issues with this, it seems like it would be a worthy addition.

Love,
mewa

There's a vote or request somewhere for a notification if your name is too long.  Try removing Zorchenhimer's menus then logging in.

It wouldn't be my menus.  I didn't change the funname menu or the multiplayer setup menu for the last release.  They are the same as the default.  Unless you have the one I made (not sure if I released it) before the current one, where it has a "clan tag" field.

Uninstall build 22? :P  If it worked before those two factors...
