Title: how do i strafe, and strafe jump???

i see people people on the jump maps going so high in the air and jumping really high. i want to do this so i can get through the lvl. but its just too hard for me. if you are good at strafeing and strafe jumping. post here and help me out

wow three threads for help in about an hour. i think there was already a thread about this. use the search function. (be glad i got here first. some of the other guys are kinda touchy about searching)

You guys are idiots.  Try helping these "noobs" out next time rather then tell them to look at the forums for information that's: a) nonexistent or b) impossible to find.

The instinctive thing to do on a forum with topics is to post a topic, not search.

sk89q didnt u have a small jumping section with a map on your site?

Here dude this might help some
put this in your config.cfg file its the DoubleJump script
FYI it doesnt make you go higher. It just tells the came to jump twice when u hold the spacebar (or jump key).

bind "SPACE" "+dj"
alias +dj "+moveup;10waits;-moveup;10waits;+moveup;10waits"
alias -dj "-moveup"
alias 10waits "wait;wait;wait;wait"

if u see me in the pubs feel free to give me a shout. Im not the greatest jumper but i dont have a problem giving ya a hand.

Why not just try to teach him to double jump on his own, instead of giving him the noob script?

i totally agree with you, but hes a noob, so a noob script for a noob works :D till he decides hed rather improve then he shud learn.

maybe he could read those pages then go on a jump map and practise
