I believe this can happen if you don't have gcrypt installed.  There may be some other necessary libraries as well.

I am facing the same problem. I am using opensuse 10.3 and 11 and I have gcrypt installed. Still kicks me out randomly after a few minutes

This is why we use windows instead of Linux for this game. You never know what you are going to get since the Linux version isn't all that stable.

I'm too lazy to look these up. Anyway, you can try to find what you're missing and go google them. Note that most are pretty standard:

   linux-gate.so.1
   libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libm.so.6
   libgcrypt.so.11 => /lib/libgcrypt.so.11
   libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6
   libpthread.so.0 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0
   libgcc_s.so.1 => /lib/libgcc_s.so.1
   libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
   /lib/ld-linux.so.2
   libgpg-error.so.0 => /lib/libgpg-error.so.0
