Well the current path of Ike plants the eye right over both my office AND my house.
But...
Before I left the office this afternoon, I got a web cam set up.
So until the power goes out, you can view it at http://69.153.214.244/view/index.shtml
It does not work under chrome.
I have enabled snapshots and recording capabilities and the microphone is enabled.
-
hmm, not connecting... its either your office got blown down, or the hadron collider is kicking in late.
-
Same here.
-
Try again I just checked it.
-
Try this:
-
all i see is a reflection. interesting! can't wait to check it out during the day.
-
I see a light.
-
What's that hueg white glow-y thing? D:
And is that a sprinkler or heavy, heavy rain? Hard to tell.
EDIT: Okay, now there's just steam/smoke instead of rain. wtf.

Well, the side of it has hit Texas.
-
maybe not the best idea to point the cam straight into that light.. heh.
-
In what direction are we looking on this cam?
-
Oh good, that light is off, and I see blue skies? Plus how many hours till it hits, I can't find anything on that. Stupid people, driving on the wrong side of the road...
-
OMFG that person didn't stop for that STOP SIGN...GETTEM KNACK
Lawless heathens
IKE is not suppose to hit till around midnight or so, but the conditions should deteriorate throughout the day.

LOL Keith (The funny thing is that there are a bunch of squirrels that hang out right by my window always peaking in. ( trying to see my pr0n I guess)
When I set the cam up I didn't realize that the building light was right there. They haven't worked in MONTHS!
The cam is facing NW.
The building is locked up now against my wishes, I'll have to talk to building management next week.
I've spent the morning shutting down nonessential servers remotely. I just hope we dont get any glass breakage.
-
I cant see it in either format, for MPEG nothing comes up and tells me I dont have the MPEG decoder insatalled but I just installed it, and for JPEG nothing comes up.
-
The eye has hit Texas. The wind is getting stronger, anyway, how far is the cam inland?
-
hmm, looks like it died for me.
-
Yeh, the power went out round 6:30. I saw it happen, at least nothing smashed into the window, although a branch fell off that tree... Knack u must show us a pic of what happened there when you return :).
-
I couldn't check in on it last night when the news channels around here were first reporting that it had started to come inland, and by the time I tried today it was already down. I saw about 10 minutes of cars driving by a couple days ago, and that was it. Anything interesting/scary happen before it went down? Last night I was imagining some guy getting thrown into the window by a strong gust of wind and... well, nevermind. You get the idea.
Congrats on 1k posts btw, Cameron. :P
