Post by: musickid999 on October 15, 2008, 08:09:38 PM
Has anyone had this problem before? Before you say it, I already tried to reinstall DP, but it didn't work.

You probably have texture compression enabled in your video card's driver settings.

KnacK: i'm not much of a pro with computer hardware and stuff like that, I'm using a sony VGN TZ37CN, tiny laptop, if that helps. As soon as I find out what video card I'm using, I'll tell you.

jitspoe: Where would I find the settings for these drivers? Is it device manager?

Device manager should tell you what kind of card it is.  As for the settings, that depends on the drivers you're using.  Video cards usually have their own control panel where you can tweak settings like this.

I'm not sure if this is it, but under "Display Adapters", I have Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family. If I'm wrong, please tell me which part it would be under. Thanks.

So where would I find the settings for that? Would it also be under device manager?

Ugh... onboard video?  Not sure on that one.

Not sure if that helps.

I got the name working, thanks for the help. Turns out the solution was on desktop, all I had to do was right click and press graphics properties, I found everything in there. lol
