am i always the only one online? there is only ever one server with a ping below 100 and there's never anyone in it. am i missing a patch or something?

You'll be fine with a server with a ping of more than 100.

Where are you located?  Most of the servers are in TX.

Well, somebody just posted that he set up an AU server, so it sounds like you're in luck.  Of course, you're going to have to get all your mates in the land down under to play, too, because most people in the other parts of the world probably aren't going to play on it (it will be too laggy for them).
