Title: Forum Moderation Reform v2.0
Post by: Bix on January 19, 2009, 10:45:30 PM
Should moderation  be so strict?

Since that was the conclusion of the last thread I think we need to discuss ways to fix the problem. That was the direction the last thread was going, and it was construcitve. Therefore, continue on the discussion about moderation being strict.

You can post about moderation reform.

DO NOT POST ABOUT ME.

Thank you.

Please keep it on topic.

As long as the thread isn't racist or sexual (some people may care), why lock it? or why ban people?

I'm sure there have been other threads created that was directly about someone, but knack sets his own rules.

I see Knack doing well over 90% of the moderation. Y00tz does very little moderation and same with jitspoe. I also believe their moderation is not as strict and is often in the correct context. So Knack's moderation is the part up for discussion.

mhm i agree completly with what bix said...i got banned for 2 months for saying a slightly racist joke...i think that knack needs to worry less about the forums

Get you facts straight. It was 32 days for an extremely racest comment that the moderators got several notices from forum members about.

What exactly is "slightly" racist? Is that something that would only offend a few people? Should it be ok if it only offended less than 15 people? Or would it be ok if it only "slightly" offended them as opposed to full on enraged them?  ::)

Back to topic: Moderation seems perfectly acceptable in my opinion.

/me goes back to trolling

Closed.

You still insist about talking about me and not moderator reform.
