Title: Tarts Dirty Den - New UK Server
Post by: tartjagger on February 18, 2009, 03:23:51 AM: It's been running a few weeks now, but I thought it was time I formally announced my new public server Tarts Dirty Den at 92.233.16.92:27920
I also run a Quake2 server at 92.233.16.92:27910 and the website for both is www.tartsdirtyden.wetpaint.com (http://www.tartsdirtyden.wetpaint.com)

My intention is to provide a fun, friendly server for people who don't take the game too seriously. IMHO it's not cheating that is ruining online gaming, it's paranoia about cheating. So please people, stop complaining about cheats and hacks every time you get beaten and just enjoy the game for what it is... Just a game

When I popped on it there were just a couple of bots running about, but I hope to see some fellow limeys knocking about on it sometime soon.

You should get one of those new 33.6k modems, they've really come down in price.

Seriously, many european players are getting pings well below 100 on this server.

Hmmmm, that's odd I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem. I've upgraded to build 26 today, maybe that'll fix it?

Anyway, the ping doesn't seem any better than the Artic pub(s) for me and I live in Eastbourne (near Brighton).

It kinda sucks cos you're taking away one of the main features of this game. Also, you already have a main feature in your server: It's UK. You don't need to go and put other features up on there: I just want to not lag! :D
