Title: FEATURE: First time startup wizard
Post by: i_am_a_pirate on February 19, 2009, 01:23:12 PM
For example, when you first start up paintball2.exe for the first time, it guides you through setting up basic settings like the swear filter and other settings. Should be pretty easy to implement.
The two ways i can see it working it by either putting it inside the setup.exe, or by putting it inside paintball2.exe and finding a way to determine whether or not it's the 1st time playing. I thnk the setup.exe would be easier to implement as it's only run once.

ideas?

+1 when it appears on the list.

The game can tell by just loading and archiving a cvar, or somebody could write some NSIS code for the installer, like you suggested.

You need to have an option to be able to run the setup wizzard at any time, as wel las having the ability to reset all ofthe configs to like new status.
