RECOMMENDATIONS
===================
* Your server might have not been added to the public list; run the command heartbeat in console
* NAT routing information on your router may be outdated; turn off your router, wait half a minute, and then turn it back on

answer as soon as possible
-
With all those entries, it looks like your ports are not forwarded correctly.
-
well, i made the start port 7000 and the end port 27910, and checked udp i do not have a firewall on. im still unsure why it does this, is there any way else i can fix it, it still lets me connect to it and its on my list but not others

You only need to forward 27910 to the ip address of the pc where the server is.

this i do not understand im sortve confused you think we could get onto a vent or something it would make this a whole lot easier. i have a netgear router
-
Ignore that.
You just need to make sure you correctly set up port forwarding.
4. If this is a home server, make sure you know how to forward the port that your server uses from the WAN side (the port on your router hooked up to your cable modem, dsl modem, or whatever you use to connect to the internet) of your router to the LAN side ( the ports that connect to the pc's at your house) of your router. If you have questions on how to do this, post screen shots of your router config page showing the port forwarding setup.

yes i think i have done it correctly but under server ip adress do i put the servers ip or the ip adress under cmd
-
The ip address of your pc ( ie.. 192.168.1.100 or whatever it is), not the ip address that people will be using to connect to your server.
-
yeah i entered that its still not working
Connection SUCCESSFUL! Port forwarding and firewall settings correct.
but its the wrong ports when i run the test
-
can someone maybe help me with the server through a voice chat it would make it easier on me
-

i already did all that and understand that i do it for other games i dont understand the problem can we please talk on a voice chat?
-
No voice chat
Post a pic of your Port Forwarding screen on your router and lets see what you did.
-
Wouldn't it be easier forwarding ports through your default gateway? That's how i made mine.
-
same thing
-
I didn't get that? But anyways i found it easier to just go to the default gateway and do it there rather then going through that website
Going through that website took me 2 days going through my default gateway and getting guided through voice chat took me about 20 minutes.
-
well im not a total idiot on port forward i think i did it right there must be something else. it would be nice if i could voice chat with somebody
-
sarc which ventrilo do you have 3.0 or the old one? If you have 3.0 tell me and i'll give you an ip and i'll guide you.

i have the new vent

KnacK, there's this situation where the port is forwarded correctly (inbound works totally fine, for days too) but for some reason the public list doesn't register the right port. I assume it's a bug in the router. It's something that I have experienced before and also on someone else's setup. I never found a solution for it (or trace down the exact problem).
/thread bump

Interesting....
-
Yeah, that's why the troubleshooter returns absolute crap for that situation.
It's never been solved around here on the forums either. The last suggestion from the troubleshooter is something someone suggested here though.

There is a software pair used to check vpn links. Its a server side piece and a client side piece. You run it and the 2 communicate via the vpn ports to make sure that they are working. If the source could be had, or if someone coded the software, that would be a real asset. Especially if you could specify the ports and tcp or udp.
