Title: offsetting crosshair

are there variables that allow you to offset the crosshair by # px in both the X & Y?

I don't think so.  Your best bet would be to edit the crosshair image.  Paintshop Pro is pretty good for editing pcx files (you can get the evaluation version for free).  It used to be, at least.  I haven't used the newer versions.  PSP6 was good, though.
