i have tried to make red light that made red view.. but it wont change color it will stay like a normal light. How do i fix this
-
If you're using a texture to emit light, it will emit whatever color light the texture is. If you're using a light entity, I think you use "_color". Like "_color" "1 .5 .7" would have 100% red, 50% green, 70% blue. I can't remember if you need the underscore or not. It may just be "color". Don't go overboard with this, as it just looks bad.

yea but i use the red lights it wont make color though.. it says something like color pallet not found

IT says this exactly
WARNING: colormap not found- no colored texture lighting

Sounds like you don't have your BSP set up correctly, then. Did you follow the installation TXT file?
-
idk i thought i was missing something and i installed it straight to hard drive.. And i didnt think you had to do anything else besides make the in progress folder.
-
Is it installed to c:\bsp?
