http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/visual-tracert/
Enter the server's ip address in the box, select proxy trace, and it will give you a rough representation of where you are and where the server is and how you are connected. Unfortunately, even though this visual tool is neat, it stil lroutes through the tool's host.

And i never knew my internet went through the meddling middle of the australian desert....
Never knew mine goes to Beijing before it goes all the way across the pacific ocean. :P
-
lol. Its a shorter distance to Sydney from Melbourne, yet it has to go all the way to I think Alice Springs in the desert, then to Sydney. Then from Sydney it goes to like Singapore, again, why dont you meddling go from Alice Springs to Singapore.... idiots.

I'd post mine from the house but it wont reflect the 22,500 miles x2 just for going up to the satellite and back.
-
Man, I just have to live in one of the worst places to play this game :\. How does it display the satellite internet then KnacK?
-
It doesn't. It just shows the earth station for the satellite then the isp connectivity.
-
GT=~5,674 miles traveled
-
For me it only did 1 trace i don't know whats wrong but here's the one i did get.
GT Servers: 4,038 miles traveled.
-
Can u post here the ip's ? :S i just know the GT by heart....
GT servers: ~2,654 miles traveled
-
Use the sever browser.
-
It takes 14 hops just to get to yougetsignal.com for me. This can be wildly inaccurate, because part of the path to yougetsignal.net may not necessarily (and probably isn't) the same path to the server.
-
It isnt the same path as if you were to do a tracert from your ip to the server ip.
BUt it's pretty neat being able to see where, geographically, the packets go.
