Title: map is too big...?

so i made a new map and the objects r huge and whenever the game starts it freezes and i have to close server, when i save it it takes like 10 mins to save and someone in mIRC said it was too big so how do i size it down?

You take stuff you/make things detail so that they don't affect vis.

Zip the map up and post it here.  I'll take a look at it.

One thing to watch out for when making large, open areas.  The compilers will break surfaces up into smaller surfaces, so even an empty room, if it's very large, will have high r_speeds (polygon counts).  You can reduce the polygons by scaling up the texture size.
