Hi, Sometimes when i'm playing I get a brown plug-like icon in the top corner of my screen. When this happens i can't move or type, any idea's?
I'll post a screenie when it happens again.

It's the "disconnect" - symbol. This means that you are currently lagging very badly (ping > 500).
If you have downloads running, while you are playing pb, this uses most of the bandwidth, which causes lagges in paintball. Stop downloads/uploads, or everything else which uses your bandwidth, and then the "disconnect" - symbol won't appear.

It's been known for years as the phone jack, but usually carries the abbreviation pjack or pj.
-
its only started happening after you and matze helped me bitmate!
when i had lag before it never appeared. my ping was ok when this was happening, however, my local exchange has been having problems, so i guess the spikes i get could be the explanation.

Well, we only changed some graphic related things...
I can't think any of them could make you lag =/
-
Good ol' pjack ;D .
-
nope they didn't make me lag.
i meant that when i lagged before i never got "pjack", now i do though. its ok, no biggie.
thanks for the help tho, i'm playing much better i think, however i'm only playing in 640x480 resolution...

Hows about a new vid card for your next birthday? :)
-
nah, i think i'ma getting a car ;)
-
Pft, a car won't help you play games better!
As for the pjack, you can get a better idea of what's going on by typing "netgraph 1" at the console (type netgraph 0 to shut it off again). This shows a graph of the packet times. Black bars mean the packet got dropped.
