Title: I seem to be stuck at a low frame rate
Post by: lekky on February 11, 2006, 05:26:06 PM
me again  ;)

can anyone give me wys to increase the frame rate of the game?

currently its very low (20fps average).

matze and bitmate helped me out a bit, but to get 50fps, i have to play in 640x480 resolution

i have a crappy on-board gfx card, but apart from that my pc is decent.

You're probably not going to be able to get much better framerates without updating your hardware.  If your onboard card doesn't take up the AGP slot, you could go get a cheap geforce series card for like $40-$50.

The following settings may help some, however:
gl_dynamic 0
gl_texturemode gl_linear_mipmap_nearest
r_caustics 0
gl_anisotropy 0

Use "seta" before them if you want the settings to stay permanently.

well, i guess thats why my aim was pretty crappy.

even with a framrate of 60 now, it makes a huuuge difference, much more than i thought. so 400 would be heaven for me i think

After about 50, you really can't notice the difference.
