Post by: shockwave on April 26, 2009, 05:20:50 PM
I've had difficulty finding what is causing my dp screen to freeze every 30 seconds or so. here is a screenshot of my Task Manager, though im not sure if any of those are the problem. Please help tired of this.

I used to have teatimer on one of my computers. I don't think its needed. Anyways I don't remember how I got rid of it but google brought me this:

http://www.malwarehelp.org/how-to-enabledisable-spybot-teatimer.html

http://russelltexas.com/malware/teatimer.htm

But by looking at that screenshot from m7 I don't think getting rid of it would help.

teatimer is a process of spybot search and destroy and was not there until today that I know of when he installed that program.

Dude a) you have 65 processes going try closing some of those out.  b) If you have wireless connection like I do, disable Windows Zero Configuration.  It refreshes your wireless card to search for new networks every minute or so which does no good if you're on a desktop.  http://paininthetech.com/2005/10/25/disable-wireless-zero-configuration-in-windows-xp guide on how to disable it.
