We managed to get a Match server going. You can type !match in #team_1311 to get the info for the server. It's located in Toronto and hosted by Extreme Cyber Games.
Heres the ip address:

Quick question: what is the logic behind purchasing a server in Toronto for a game like DP?
to support all the Canadianese people that want to ping better even though they ping fine on the American servers silly goose.

I live in Florida and get 80-95 ping there. A server is a server there's already 4 er33t servers setup in Texas and I believe m7's server is also there. Don't see why it matters.

The server is already up can't take it back now so its up and we got another server for American clans.

i don't ping good on those i ping at least +10-20 on Canadian servers compared to er33t's

Alright, let me try to understand this genius logic. KI3S set up a match server in Toronto to serve all the Canadians. Can anyone think of a single clan that is constituted by only Canadians?
You realize that as long as there are fair servers to play on no one will ever play on your Toronto server save two Canadian clans, none of which exist.

Plenty of people with low ping. So what if the server was hosted in New York or something? Still going to complain cause its close to Canada? If you ping high there then don't use it, but its not a bad server.

Alot of those people would ping higher on eR33ts. But then again, alot of people would ping higher on these then eR33ts. So it gives you variety on where to play.

The range on the eR33t server is less. Most people are from about 40-70. Where on these servers hosted in Canada we see people from the high teens all the way to people like myself in California pinging 120.

Well I would never play on any of Henrod's servers simply because there across the US from me. You saying that's different from this one? If there's already 4 match servers, and 1 speed server located in Texas, then why is another one needed? Yeah people in California won't have great ping, but there's no need to complain about it.

People get servers in Toronto because the company has good support, pre-configures servers sold by the slot and because those buying either don't know how to use Linux or don't want a whole slice of a server.
And I haven't noticed the Canadian servers pinging all that badly. They ping about the best for me on the list.
I have received requests to match on ij simply because of eR33t kicking them.

I ping 22 to Henrod's server. I also don't think it is fair for Americans to play on those servers. I ping 22 then ping 122 on the east coast. Servers in texas (er33t servers) seem to be the fairest.

Why do you meddling chickens complain about ping. Boo-hoo, 100 ping. Come be like me and sherman and experience the 200+ ping everyday. And m7 don't come in here about getting the Aussie scene up, most of em play CSS, and couldn't care less about any other game. I seem to love butting in about these ping threads :D.
