No matter what i change it too, i cant get the differernt options to work. Like when i kill people i dont want the guns to come up in the messages. Just Joe Schmoe killed Joe Schmo....some1 help...didnt work on build015 or build016...at my school or at my house.....WTF

You can't get the guns out of the messages, unless jits throws something in in build 17.

kNoC: Are you talking about the messages printed in the center of the screen or the ones at the top/console? Most people want to see what weapon they were killed with, so I never really thought to make an option otherwise.

He means you can change the options to 'no elim' messeges, or no messages at all etc. But none of them work, whatever you select they always appear, very annoying.

yes, thanks alot jits, hope its not to hard to fix, but i swear it worked in like build014, but not 15 nor 16...

Well, a few builds back I changed the way the messages and scoreboard worked. The scores are stored client-side now, and they're updated with each kill, so the death messages have to be sent to the client in order for the scoreboard to work. I can tweak it so they just aren't displayed, though.
