Title: Help with Making Flags on BSP.
Post by: DerryBoy09 on October 16, 2009, 08:24:42 PM
Hello. I'm using the BSP map editor, and I've been having trouble with getting a flag on the map. since I know there are quite a few experienced map makers here I would like to know what I have to do to get the flag(s).

Press 'E' while in BSP and an Entity window will open.
Select "Flag" and create entity.
In the "Flag" entity you need to set a value for the flag.
In "Key" type "count"
In "Value" type "1"

Why just 1?
Because the flags are multiples of 5. 5x1=5...etc.

You don't need the key/value pair if it's just for 5 points...

me rape

Can we please ban this guy?

Anyways, the reason your flag probably isn't showing up, is because you haven't set the right gamemode yet.
Go to your worldspawn entity, and create

Key = gamemode
Value = *a number depending on the gamemode you want*

("gamemode" "#" - # options:
0     All modes (default)
1     Deathmatch
2     Single flag
4     2 or more flag mode (flag in base)
8     Siege
16    KOTH
64    Pong!)

Look, I'm not asking you only.

All I'm saying is that I am not GOOD AT READING/SPEAKING IN ENGLISH. So all im asking is to say it that I could understand it, like a Level 2 Reader of english.

What can't you understand?
Have you set a gamemode? (see musickid999's post)
Have you done what Termina8or suggested?
Do you not understand what musickid999 or termina8or meant? Which part are you having trouble with?
