like, wtf is up with that thingie. Famous maps like brainstorm and castle1 version differs from server version

OH! I downloaded that map now (from that server) and it gave me that error again !

go in to map folder and delte current bsp

Something's messed up with that server. I think it has bad memory in it, causing the map to be different every time it gets loaded. I'm amazed it hasn't crashed hard yet.

no its not just that server, and not just that map...
happens on all kinds of servers, all kinds of maps (mainly/only? big maps), and only since build16 was installed.... hf figuring out what messes things up

actually, no it doesn't. I would check out what you have installed....

Build 16 simply re-downloads the maps if the checksum fails instead of just kicking you off the server. The intent was so maps could be updated and keep the same filename, but it seems now it's spreading corrupted map files around. That server really needs to be fixed before even more corrupted files get spread around.

i tried to get on a GT server playing propaint yesterday. said the local map differed so i deleted. then when the new dl got to 99% it crashed my pb. tried it again and same thing happened.
today i dl the map again from a diff server and its ok :|
