while you play how do you write smileys and color?

In your console press - ctrl then k -  then type what you want to say in color.

Most use a funname. type "menu setup_funname" in the console and make what you'd like to say. Now, go into your config.cfg (paintball2/pball/configs) and it should be under "seta_name" Copy that, scroll up and where it says "bind" "0-9a-z" paste the name to which ever key you want. If you simply just want to type in color for just once, i'd just go into the console and hit "ctrl+k" then hit a key, and then type your message. That should help.
