What is a pickup cup and why?
Pickup cup is a cup where predetermined captains will pick their team from those players who have signed up.
Why - because I think there would be 0 or 1 teams who could have 5 players online at once.
Will clarify the captain picking/player picking later.
Maplist: pbcup_pforest, hellsurvivors, myland_ctp, pbcup_renoir, crimethink, darkages, ub_rooftop, urbann_b2, zen_europaint
Signing up: If you want to play, you have to register an account @ timetravellers.tourney.cc (that account will also let you play in any other tourney.cc tournament).
Checking in: ~1 hour before the cup to until 5min before the cup you have to check in (just click on a button) on the same website.

Maps: since I am not exactly sure how many teams there will be and how the map picking system will be, I am having some difficulties with the maplist. It seems like a foolproof idea to use 5 maps, would work with map eliminating and if needed can easily just assign certain maps for certain rounds. People have so far suggested many of DT's maps, some of them will be in for sure (renoir, pforest remake), but others might be not so good in my opinion (carp).
So far I think pforest, renoir and hellsurvivors are in 100%, but still need 2 maps. Please suggest some.
btw, the servers we will use will be donated by ic3y, so thank him when you see him the next time ;>
Oh, and another thing. When you sign up for the cup you notice that you'll have the EU flag. You can change the flag at your profile by clicking 'edit info'

There will be assigned captains who, in-turns, pick players for their team.
So do not hesitate, make an account + click the sign up link on top of the page.

Ok, here is how its going to go down:
Everybody come to #team_qehs at the right time (before 16:00). Then everybody will be invited to a private tournament channel.
The teams will be called Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple (supported team colors in PB, does not mean that Blue team must take the color blue in each map :D). The captains will /nick themselves either R|nickname or put B, Y, P in front of their name.
The captains will start picking their players, in the following order: A B C D D C B A A B C D D C B A A B C D. A being the captain who starts picking and B second and C third and D last captain who gets to pick. This order should give us somewhat fair teams, hopefully.
Player who is picked to a team, should put the teams tag in front of their nickname in IRC as well. For the clarity sake.
Then we play ball! Here's how it's gonna go:
4 teams, 3 matches in group stage. You will play each opponent on two maps that I have previously selected for each round. I will paste the info on the tournaments priv. channel.
After those 3 matches and 6 maps, the two leaders of the group will play eachother for the last time to determine the winner. As well as the #3 and #4 in group. Those matches will both be best of 3. Both teams can pick a map from the maplist. If tie map is needed eliminating is in order. Team weaker in the group stage starts the elim process.

aight the tournament fell apart before the end, but thanks to all those ~15-20 people who showed up and played.
