If you are presented with a case where it appears somebody has violated the rules, but you can't find enough evidence to prove it 100%, would you vote to punish him or not?

(I have no idea what you got banned for obviously, but let's assume it was the barrels):
It's been more then a year since Jitspoe has started saying they are bannable as they give a noticeable advantage. He has recently been msg'ing a lot of people warning them about the textures, and it was common knowledge that they weren't supposed to be used. That being said, since nobody was being banned everyone ignored the fact that it was illegal to use, and kept using it.
So if that's the reason, you shouldn't complain saying: Im banned for fking barrels? -- Cause Homingbullet was banned for having brick barrels, and other people for having lighter walls on maps for an advantage, these ones came without the years of warning, texture modifications are bannable. It's breaking the rules, whether you agree with it or not. (Just like a lot of people disagree with multiple accounts, it's still breaking the rules and a ban is given). Now, this entire post is assuming it was the barrels.

yep jitspoe told me that my textures are 2bright. so i changed them...
i used his textures for a while.. but yesterday some1 told me that Homie's textures are lookin nice.. so i installed them.. played 1 hour with them.. and went offline..
and Today i am banned...
so if i see this right.. there's no chance to get this ban halved or what?
and im pretty sure that the Main Part of this Community wont use Jitspoe's textures.. but my question is.. is a ban of 128 days ( ok its "2nd offense" ) rly neccessary for textures? a simple warning to change them would be enough IMO..

When you report jits your <banreason here>, you get 64 days.
But why are these barrels 2bright.
I could say the same to some other textures.

Ban for textures, while no one really knows, which one are banned? Maybe some warning if those are banned (just like 'modified content')? And unban Legenzd ofc...

You're probably not going to get a straight answer out of him. Also, don't forget he's in a different time zone, so it takes a little longer for him to reply.

The point is that No one knows which textures arent allowed.. except Jitspoe..
I would understand when i get banned for textures IF You would've finalized your texture pack yet..
Finalize it--> Publish it--> tell everyone that we HAVE to use them--> and if there are people who dont use it --> ban them..
but now? it's a bit weird for me sry..

It's common knowledge that these barrel textures aren't legal to use, like it or not. (I'm not sure if Homie's textures have the bright barrels or not) But if you got warned, and then ended up using them again after your warning, you deserve the ban.
The barrels, and making changes that are completely for an advantage are bannable. You need to use proper judgment (by basing it off the default version of the texture) to know when they are a huge advantage, and Jitspoe is pretty consistent about warning people to change their textures... soo if that's the reason I don't see any problems...

And no, homie's aren't the bright ones. Anyhow a lot of people use them. For starters, we're not even 100% sure on why he was banned, maybe it has nothing to do with the textures.
Legendz just PM jitspoe and sort it out with him.
If it is related to the textures I think it's a bit exagerated, but Jitspoe knows what he's doing.

The pack jitspoe is currently working on will most likely become the official one and the only one considered legal, therefore all the other ones should be illegal and the people that use them might be banned, I'm assuming :P

Why don't you just shut up? :) Furthermore, it kinda annoys me that you're speaking of "guys", which is the plural of guy. Are you assuming there are more people involved to this ban than just Legendz and Jitspoe (f.e. the committee)? Get your facts straight before crying on the forum. Thanks.

When it comes to the high res textures, you really just need to use common sense and not use textures that give an obvious advantage over the textures included with the game. For those without common sense, I've attached a couple of Legendz' screenshots as examples of what's NOT OK to use. If you can't see why this configuration is unfair compared to the default configuration, I'm not sure what to tell you. It's about 1 step short of just using solid white textures or swapping the player textures with neon colors.
Despite my warning, Legendz continued to use light ground textures, so I banned him. Does this seem unjustified?

well i changed that light with gl_brightness 10000 or sth like that, and i changed this textures too, i used Homie's textures but i didnt know that THese are illegal too?

this screens are the old ones, u talked to me and i changed them.. lol this arent homie's textures..
you can also see that these are the old ones, cause im not using pcdp mod there...
So yes i think this is unjustified cause i changed my textures and u banned me anyway...

Who cares about trying to get an advantage when you have to look at crap like that while playing... Don't other people just want their game to look better? Why should changing the textures matter if you didn't care about making the quality of the game a bit better anyways?

Off topic but this was my point when I posted in another thread about people saying they like their textures and what not, but it's because they want the advantage and like what it gives you. Jacked up brightness with bright walls is only there for an advantage, nothing else. People are so used to this advantage that switching to Jitspoe's HR4 and a few other good packs makes it so hard for them to see people that they just never end up switching and pretend it's cause they like theirs better. Sorry for the off-topic reply, but really those textures with those settings make the game look worse then everything on complete default.

Legendz, did you remove your textures after the warning? Ground textures, barrels, etc...?
Also, I'm pretty sure there's a brightness limit :P So typing gl_brightness 1000 won't do any difference from the limit (5, I think?)
You got any screenshots after those? With your textures "back to normal"?

No i dont have any screenshots in my pb folder..after changing them..
But now i am interested in why jitspoe thinks that i didnt change my textures? if there are no screenshots..
and If i got banned for these two screenshots, you can see that they were BEFORE his "warning"
so i think its unjustified if there are no Screenshots which are proving that i DIDNT change my textures.. because i definitly DID change them..

Ive got other textures. I just meant how to do those (mine, not his) textures really high res. cuz mine are really blurred and they dont look nice. But Ive already found a command, its gl_highres_textures 1. You just misread something, or I just didnt explain what I want to do.

extract the file
Step 3:
extract sunmanshr4
Step 4:
copy the folder named hr4 and go to C:\Games\Paintball2\pball\textures\pball and insert your folder there

go in paintball. type gl_highres_textures 1 then type vid_restart

I have mixed almost every pack, but IMO those textures which are ready should be used...

Define legal textures... Or give MD5 hashes of illegal textures >.> ...
I'm really glad that Jitspoe finally care about "almost hackers" which uses textures to make enemies more visible. But for now, those tries are bad... IMO no one should be banned for that until there isn't anti-modification system... Everything should be clear (old textures packs should be deleted, there should be warning message if modified texture detected etc.).
