Finally got it all put together. I'll find out if it actually shoots this weekend. :)
-
Hah. A little excessive, but I like it. Get some vids of it firing.
-
Excessive? Psh. Not far enough yet.
Here's a video of it firing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaxrEtbJqik

There's a steampunk & post-apocalyptic buildoff thread on mcarterbrown here: http://www.mcarterbrown.com/forums/custom-projects-custom-questions/123130-official-steampunk-vs-post-apocalyptic-build.html

Gotta have these if you're planning on shooting this thing in public.

Well, I got second place. I can't complain, though. The Nuka Rifle is pretty awesome.
I ordered some welding gloves, and I'm working on outfitting some JT goggles with a leather face shield. I also have a vest and top hat.

The gloves looked a lot browner in the pictures when I ordered them. :-\
-
Looks good. Really does. Go to your local hardware store and get some of that antique spray paint and apply it to the gloves. You could also use some fabric dye which is fairly cheap.
-
Well the gloves are a bit clean.
Taking this to the next level would be a small steam engine to fit in a backpack to provide the air pressure to fire the paint.
-
What I missed on this one, did you actually design and manufacture this gun yourself?
-
pedobear gloves =O

This is what it looked like when I got it.
