Does anybody happen to know approximately how many people play DP ball. Just wondering

There are currently 840 registered forums members. There are, however, many MANY more players of DPPB2 that are not registered forum members. Yet again, some of these forum members are actually duplicates and not unique users.
Disregarding the previous information, my hypothesis (AKA -- guess) is that:
There are around 5,200 people WHO HAVE PLAYED DPPB2 AT LEAST ONCE.
There are around 680 people WHO ARE CURRENTLY PLAYING DPPB2 AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.
There are around 400 ACTIVE FORUM MEMBERS WHO POST AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH.
There are around 150 PEOPLE WHO ARE BOTH ACTIVE FORUM MEMBERS AND PLAY DPPB2 AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK
There you have it! A pile of hogwash designed to look scientific! Honestly, Jitspoe would probably have the best stats on this.

To be honest, even I don't really know. I can tell you that there have been 34,067 downloads of build 16 from sourceforge, so there are probably over 10,000 people who have tried it once. After that point, who knows. Our community is kind of small, but seeing how a select few games (namely WoW, BF2, and CS) are sucking up the vast majority of gamers, we're actually not doing that bad. Lots of professionally made games aren't doing any better.
