Then you shouldn't be recording. Nuff said. Either that or you don't know how to change the settings on Fraps. But most likely it looks like you have a trial version from the watermark at the top of the video.

I don't see what that would do. As long as you get a least 60 FPS you should be fine...

First of all you need a full version of Fraps, not the trial. The trial limits you to 30 FPS recordings and makes you have that stupid watermark. It should just be in the Fraps settings to set it to 60 FPS. Unless you plan on doing slow motion stuff 60 FPS is fine.

You get higher fps on smaller windows...
I used to get max 40 fps on every map,so thats what I did to record the shots on this video:

You can see the quality suffers, but it's better than what whaley had.

Intro blows. It's not something that is suspenseful, keep it simple.
I don't like the effect that makes it look like it skips - or you messed up making/editing it. Either way, ew.
The quality was good though, I was able to see myself get killed multiple times.
Shots were alright, nothing like those unreal prolandr kills you have on your page......................
On a side note: Are those textures actually legal? Soo bright.

i couldnt even record frags from freedom bcz fps were too low..

With all honesty guys... I have watched most videos on last 2 pages of this topic... Its everything same, the main protagonist never dies and kills everything what cross his path. Very predictable and sorry for saying that, also very boring... Everyone can cut his video in a way to look as the biggest king of the hill.
Edit: Nobody can notice how good you are, if you also dont show in the videos how good are others... Sorry but its lame style of presenting your skills.. I would expect this from pub players with 6 month experience :P

The whole idea is to show your best shots/ jumps, not how good you realistically are at the game ranger.

Those are Fragmovies.
I myself enjoy looking at them, because they usually have relaxing songs which match well with the kills. They are pretty much highlights of few games.
There is different style of videos: frags, jumping, funny videos, tutorials.. and more, let's be honest, people watching those videos are DP related and they know " How good you are " which is why they are watching it ( talking about fragmovies ).
Why'd you think that it's a lame way of presenting your skill if you actually spend time on doing something enjoyable to watch for most of the people ? The way you present it: " The main protagonist never dies and kills everything" , " Very predictable " , "Very Boring", "Everyone can cut his video in a way to look as the biggest king of the hill " it just sounds like you are full of hatred with jealousy.
The only thing that bother me on fragmovies is the " selfish side ", and im pretty sure it is what you are talking about without really saying it. I might be wrong but that's how i see it.
I made few videos, mostly fragmovies and i'll explain you quickly on why i did it and why i would do it if i was playing the game still if it can help you understanding it. I had tons of demos, and playing the game for so long, i wanted to do something so that all the time spent and my demos are not a complete waste and lost. So after doing it, i felt like having a least of a reward for playing the game.
Thats understandable to hate something, but i don't think doing hateful criticism will lead anywhere.

I told something similar to Getek when he sent me his movie month ago :) Such a videos wont stun anyone, because its not hard to shoot fast and well with the right conditions. In fact it is very easy... And I dont like this approach - ridicule others for some personal satisfaction.

the positive feedback under most of the fragmovies, such as shk's, d1es, jeongwa's or my videos tells me that people are actually enjoying them. i think most of them know how much work it can be to record, cut or edit some shots, just to make them fit to the beat of the music for example.
but why dont you try one for your own if its that easy? go show the world your opinion of how a fragmovie/dp video should look like!!!!!! :^)

However, since your comment on YouTube is gone now, I'd like to ask you here on the forum for some constructive criticism. I watched some of your past videos and I really enjoyed the style of them. I hope you could give me some tips about editing or music choice. Your videos really inspired me and I will for sure pick up some ideas (I will credit you ofc) for my future movies. Especially your montage of Natalie Portman was very emotional and arousing. I admire that amount of editing skill and hope to improve as a cutter to get somewhere close your level some day. Personal informations you post on youtube are accessible to everyone with an internet connexion, i'd suggest you to modify it if you find it troublesome, it's in the chart when you make a youtube account. In no case it is a security breach.
to that i can suggest you to never be ashamed of who you are so that somebody using your shared informations on internet have no power over you.
