Hey Readers,
I have noticed on the quake2 version when I get behind someone and they are in "crouch" mode,
I end up shooting through them. How big is the kill spot/kill trigger? Or where is the perfect spot to aim?
Jitspoe please help.
Thanks

From http://digitalpaint.planetquake.gamespy.com/testwiki1/pb2wiki.php?word=Mapping+Guide the player crouch height is believed to be 32 units. The old models, it's possible to shoot through their head, but this is mostly fixed with the Build15/16 models.

okay. thanks Bain.
Im using quake2 and i end up spraying through the player like 5 times before I hit the spot.

The crouch height is exactly 1/2 of the standing height. Standing height is 56 units, so crouching height is 28. This is why the new player models crouch so low.

I wrote that in my first post, but later edited it after finding evidence supporting the 32units on the Wiki, so I assumed that you wrote it and that it was correct. Hmpf :P

Hehe thanks guys. But where is the best spot to aim on the player? Like mid section, head, legs?

i go for the nose everytime.

With the old models, it's best to aim for the legs. The player model sticks out above the bounding box both when crouching and when jumping.

okay. thanks jitspoe, i shall make people step on my paint!
