Title: Can Any1 Help?

Ok, DP lags on my computer and i dont see why, its a Dual Core 4400+ with a Nvidia 7600gt, 2 gbs of OCZ ram, 200gb hdd, Biostar mother board, I dont see why it lags, Its not my internet either... Can any1 help me with liek a patch that may help it?

How does it lag? Is there video lag (lines), you get a bad ping on all servers, just playing with bots your movements lag... ? Make sure that your vid card, and more importantly your motherboard's drivers are up to date, even your lan port.

The stuff was just bought recently, running windows caddi, *windows xp pro sp2 with extras*, It lags on all games, and  ping 70-80 on all servers in USA... all the drivers are up to date also...

set cl_drawfps 1 -- what framerate are you getting?
set netgraph 1 -- are there lots of black bars?

Jitspoe, the frame rate is like 500-900 and no netgraph is fine

If it's not the framerate, and it's not the network connection, what kind of lag do you have?  Does it lag if you run a game locally with bots?

it lags on every game no matter what... it never lagged b4 till i got the system... and the lag kicks me and jus restarts the computer..

So you mean it freezes?  It could be an overheating issue.

its only at 40 degreese F, got an AC cooling it down :D!, I will post a ss of the Netgraph and stuff

i have that windows running on my other pc, and it runs fine as can be...im not sure what it is... maybe the GPU hell if i know!!.. Its making me mad!!!

Drivers... simply put, i had old ati drivers for my little x300 and pb2 was crashing like nuts tho it wasn't crashing on my other intergrated gfx comp so i updated and it works really nice now (still haven't solved the random mohaa crashes that happens sumtimes, i think since its summer i gotta dig up all those fans which i took out in winter :o)... here are links for drivers for nvidia. since the 7 series is a new one, the cd which came with ur card prob is like the first driver for 7 series and is outdated... download new ones from here

Installation problem? on my friends comp i used to get mad lag outa no where. then I re-installed and now it runs purrr-fect! maybe re-install but save the maps/textures folders so you dont have to DL all over again.!.

Never install stuff while windows update is at work, if you install something as simple as Firefox while SP2 is installing I remember windows freaking out and not letting me delete that file even after reboot, all my apps went corrupt and I had to re-install.

we have formatted about 8 or 9 times already... Its getting annoying..the drives are new... im not sure....

The processor has an air conditioner cooling it.. i dont think its gonan over heat anytime soon, Its 2.2ghz at like 30 degreese F
