Title: Topspeed on castle1?
Post by: Riddick on July 09, 2011, 03:23:47 PM: not 100% sure on this but isnt topspeed without any speedjumps or ice like 58mph. so how does shk have 65mph? speedhacks or what

He posted 68.2 in that spot, removed it cause he saw I beat it, which is when I posted the 'go back to the server and try again'. Then he edited his post with a new screenshot once be beat me, approx 10-15 mins later. But it's okay, you tried to look smart.

Was this changed? Because it used to affect topspeed and it should definitely affect speedometer.

Nope, your memory is correct. I tried it today, and that was the outcome which I really don't understand.

I accidentally wrote the length of the demo rather than what topspeed I got on airtime.. Could you fix it?

Instead of fiddling with the distance you travel, speedhacks generally fiddle with the time taken. Speedometer is fooled because the game (server-side) still thinks you're travelling normally - if it realised you were going faster, it would be a lot easier to autoban speedhackers :D
