I started a online server using my own bandwidth but every time i go to enter the server it appears hundereds of times in the join game screen and in the console until finally my game crashes
-
Which operating system do you have?
Which build for the server?
Which build for the client?
Is there an error message in the server console or client console?
Can you join the server, if you use "connect serverip" (in the client console)?
-
i have windows xp professional

How did you setup the server? did you use this guide?
http://digitalpaint.org/docs/server_guide_win32.html
it appears hundereds of times in the join game screen and in the console until finally my game crashes
what appears?
-
yes i did use that
guide
but what do you mean by "what appears"?
-
every time i go to enter the server it appears hundereds of times in the join game screen and in the console
i mean: what is it? a text like "connecting to..." or what?
-
Yes connecting to then my ip adress where can i find dp server version?
-
Type "serverinfo" into the server console. The options "gameversion" and "version" are important.
But if you run it on your computer with build 32, it should be the newest one.
Try to start the server, start paintball, type "connect 127.0.0.1" into the client console.

Thank you so much but will others be able to connect without the cmd?
-
how do i login its telling me bad password although im typing in the password i setup what is going on?
-
and other people cant see my server on the list and i do have public set to 1
-
maybe its set in the config and the link to the paintball2.exe (the link u use to start the server) and you only changed one of the two settings
or you have problems with firewall / port forwarding - you need to forward port 27910 (afaik) to your computer
And maybe you wrote login password and not PaSSWord - afaik its case sensitive
-
i managed to fix this problem
