Is there a way to change the replay (demo) format into something like .avi ?
-
Use something like Fraps. Or just rename the extention to avi, but don't expect it to work.
-
The latter does not work.
-
/me is off to google fraps...
-
is there any way to see ur guy and not just the gun?

You'd have to re-cam it and do some fancy editing in keygrip2, but that's another story all together.
-
Now, I just gotta figure out how to make them smaller... in fielsize and in screen size. Got a 7:33 movie, but it's 2.93GB!!
-
I think fraps creates uncompressed avis, that's why the files are so big.
You can render it smaller, reduce the fps to about 15, and just compress it obviously.
-
Then all I gotta do is figure out how that is done hehe... something in virtual dub or can I redo it in fraps?
-
This isn't a how-to, but it should provide a little insight on the encoding and compression subject.

That forum is a great place for any fps movie maker.

Thx for the link Xtreme. I figured out how to get it done in virtual dub... my avi went from 2.93GB to 134MB for a 7:33 demo of a match. went pretty quick too.
-
I wish it was just as simple as changing the format :(
-
Well, I frapped it then ran it thru virtual dub to shrink the MEGA avi fraps recorded. Not too bad either cause 7:33 of video at pretty good FPS looks good even at 134MB. I am going to record a few more then burn em off to vcd.
-
What kinda machin are you runnin on btw... and how many fps do you get in game...
-
/me has a crappy machine. 1800 AMD 64MB GeForce4 768MB DDRAM dunno fps, never checked... brb

This says 218... at that moment wasn't much going on adn I haven't done a demo with fps on.
-
mm why are you burning them to vcd?
-
$ on eBay.

LOL, no, just for watchin' and showing to friends etc. That and getting them off the HD.
