Time for some new iron. I'm retiring my ancient IBM ThinkPad G40 (Pentium 4, 15" LCD, Intel's so-called Extreme Graphics 2 with 32mb of stolen system memory). The only way I've been able to play at all is by turning down/off all graphics and effects.
I want to keep the cost reasonable. What is the minimum processor and graphics card I need to play PB2 using high-res graphics and all the graphical bells and whistles? Any other recommendations on keyboards, mice, monitors and other hardware? Let me know what's working for you.
Thanks!

DELL inspiron laptop. 4gb ram, 2,4ghz processor, radeon hd 5470. DP runs great. 200fps everywhere. I have reflective water turned off tho, I guess on certain maps I would experience fpsdrops.
I use random logitech laser mouse and some compaq keyboard.

I suppose any PC from at least 2005 or younger should be able to play DP2 without any problems...

(VGA1) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (1GB), 1600x900x32, 59Hz (OS) Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1) 64-bit, 8h 59m 43s uptime, 1d 12h 13m 45s uptime record
Solid 1000fps on most maps.
All you really need is a decent CPU and moderate graphics card to get playable FPS with high res textures.

Being PB2 is a mod version of Quake 2. Heres the specs for that game:
System:Pentium-90 or equivalent
RAM:16 MB
Video Memory:16 MB
Hard Drive Space:25 MB
I am sure ANYONE on a PC now has surpassed this requirement by 10 years either laptop or desktop.
