Hi all,
Thanks to Tinman im now able to play, but with no sound. I am currently using Ubuntu Dapper. Anyone else using a distro other than Ubuntu and getting sound? Im willing to change if need be.
-
I was using Debian Sarge and the sound worked OK until I updated. Linux updates have a bad habit of breaking things. :\
-
I'm using Dapper and I didn't initally get sound either.
Here's what I did:
sudo chown root:audio /dev/dsp
sudo chmod g+w root:audio /dev/dsp
Now getting that to work in TS2 is a different story, I think I've finally got things figured out sound-wise on my system. Let me know if you don't have /dev/dsp on your system, we may need to install the alsa oss emulation packages.
Good luck.

still isn't working...

Does /dev/dsp actually exist?

I'm using Ubuntu Dapper and, well, not getting the game to work at all :-X

I've been running it fine using QuDos' installer (http://dpball.com/forums/index.php?topic=2734.0) from the end of July to now.
