Title: Problem running Digital Paintball 2

Hi, i have a poblem with my game.
When i play digital paintball 2 it runs really good, but when the paintgrenade explodes near me it start to lag reallly badly. It lags only when the grenade explodes, i think its called FPS lags.
I have windows 7, i have tried compatibility mode and running as administrator but nothing.
How can i get rid of this? pls help!

I used to have a problem with this as well, but try this:

a lot of those are not related to the problem he is having. I even don't know what most of those do...

well i tried ur commandline but it made my game even more laggy than it was:S

I recognized that pretty much people have or had this problem.
Jitspoe should try to fix this, in my opinion this is an important point to keep new players.
Can´t be that a game like paintball triggers fps lags when a grenade explodes near of someone. (Not  even when grenades explode..)
I solved that problem by scaling down my texture solution --> Didnt solve that lags completely, but i learned to play with it.

what hardware specs does your PC have?

not its not the game, itz ur comp, what u need to do is lower ur texture qulity and reduce  any settings that u dont need. Now as for ur comp, u need to turn of any addons or programs that u dont need while ur plying this game. And if that doesnt work pm me with all the details of ur comp. Ill try to fix ur problem.

I did the same. And yeah, it did work.
But my point is that i dont understand why i do not have fps lags on bf3 but on paintball !! ??

Do you play BF3 on max settings?

That's weird.

But something that's strange is that I get 60 FPS in PB2 at max settings and over 100 FPS in Minecraft at max settings.

Some systems are really slow when updating textures in realtime (what's required for stainmaps and dynamic lights).  seta gl_dynamic "0" is the only setting you need to modify for that.
