What map?
-
all maps with an outside view........it keeps overlaying the graphics..........it didn't do that with Digital Paintball 2 (build 32)........so i unistalled (build 35) and replaced it back with (build 32) and it is still giving me problems!!!!!

It sounds like you look at a leak.
Please say one or two mapnames (if you don't know them type "info" at the console) and post a screenshot. Maybe we have the same, maybe not. We need some more informations to check it :)
-
the map names that I have been on are
Ub_Cliff
and
Shaazam33
I also posted a video of it on youtube....the link is .....

looks like you have some hardcore lag problems... run it without fraps?
-
Looks like you have some textures (sky) missing. You sure you didn't delete anything?
-
uninstall reinstall
-
I don't think that I deleted anything. I had Digital Paintball 2 (build 32) and it said that there was a new verision released....so I udated DP2 (build 32) to DP2 (build 35) And I guess it did not give me alll the files. ummmm.............. So if I unistall it, will I lose Player configuration?
-
you can make yourself a back-up by copying the config.cfg from the pball/config map
-
I unistalled it and installed DP2 (build 35) again and I'm still missing Sky textures. My favorite map, Ub_Cliff, Will not have any sky textures and will keep overlaying the sky.
I made a youtube video of it if you did not see it...http://youtu.be/JbMWjXdQzNw (http://youtu.be/JbMWjXdQzNw)

Look do this go to control panel/then uninstall a program/look for paintball 2 alpha build 35 or 32 whichever you got both if u do.After that go to c:/game/ make shore that paintball has been fully uninstalled.
Once u have done that go to..
http://sourceforge.net/projects/paintball2/files/Paintball%202/Paintball%202.0%20Alpha%20build035/paintball2_build035_full.exe/download
or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/paintball2/files/Paintball%202/Paintball%202.0%20Alpha%20build035/paintball2_build035_linux_full.tar.gz/download
if u have linux
install to c:games and follow through with the installer.I noticed in your video your hud looked terrible.open up paintball 2 b35 go to setup/layout options/hud scale and move around about to make it look better.

It's not a case of missing texture files, or there would be a grey box where the sky should be.
To temporarily fix the problem, type "gl_clear 1" into the console - this will give you a black sky.
If you want a longer-term fix, is there any information you could give us about your graphics card? (go to start menu, type "dxdiag" in the search box and press enter to get some information on it)
-
I don't think anything changed with the sky drawing between build 32 and 35. It looks like it might be a driver issue. From the video, I'm guessing you have some kind of integrated graphics card. There may not be much you can do aside from upgrading to something a little better (like an nvidia card). If you have a laptop, that's probably not an option. You could try to find updated drivers for your current card, though. Is the issue fixed if you go back to build 32?
-
well.........turns out that the reason my computer was acting up was because I was missing some system files.......so........it finally crashed to where it wont turn on so it is now fried.......I did fix up another windows xp desktop computer...so...I will try it on that... lol!!!! I'm typing this reply from the computer I fixed so it seems to be working fine
-
You can have this problem also, if you make a rotating sky with bad settings. But i've never seen it on normal maps.
-
i dont think you fried the gfx card
if the gfx card was fried you wouldnt be able to run period and the screen would turn blue and the comp would restart.
try going to you computers display setting and finding where you can update the drivers for your card. i had this problem when trying to run LoL on my gf's mac. I installed windows on it and it said it couldn't run direct3d so i updated her drivers and it worked.
If you tell us what your gfx card model is, we can find the driver for you.
-
it wont let me turn it on
does nothing
doesn't even say that it is charging.......well..........it was a good laptop...got it for 50 bucks......trying to get a laptop with a 64-bit graphis card till then I would have to see if this computer will play.....just updated my drivers so i'm going to restart this computer and see if it will let me play DP2....
-
good luck
