Do you think Paintball 2 can benefit from this?
-
Can't see how it could hurt
-
Sounds good yes
-
Pros:
- Could help increase popularity of the game.
Cons:
- Might be some awkward legal/licensing issues.
- Development time will likely increase to do steam integration.
- Cost?

Jitspoe stated before that paintball2 got many daily downloads, but not many players stay, that's why he made uninstall survey, and now he is working on tutorial map and he will also develop bot api to improve bots -> make singleplayer.
So making this doesn't make sense after all. We have to make players that download stay, not to get more downloads.

Is this because of the sounds used, the engine used, both, or none of the listed?
-
1. BUMP
2. Id say free because the game is release under GPL which is free, open-source stuff. It requiring it to be paid would just sound wrong.

This has been discussed a lot and for reasons I don't know exactly this will not happen. Also why revive a 3 year old topic...

Part of it is the sounds (possible copyright issues). Part of it is mixed licensing issues. Part is the time needed to implement the Steam API and deal with releases on that platform.

Copyright is an excretory opening - in the music industry, in the movie industry and in the game industry... :c
