MAPPERS SHOULD BE PAID!
i agree something like:
$1 for a 1/10 effort and job.eg. bad job,effort and looks.

$5 for a 5/10 effort
.
.
.
.
$10 for a 10/10 effort a completly outstanding job :)
get what i mean? :D

Mapping is just a support of the game/game development. There're lots of people who are helping to improve the game with other stuff than mapping. Maybe we should pay all these people, but then players also need to pay for the game ;)

hahahahhahahah mappers should not be paid..... esp most of the ones today... most of the maps are terrible and a disgrace to the game and a good laugh for us older dp'ers.

To pay 1-2 $ / month to get some specials isn't a bad thing in my opinion. It helps jitspoe to pay the server for example (and hopefully motivates him to improve the game more and more).
The specials could be things like "Clan Logos on Jerseys", "Names on Jerseys", "no In-Game Ads (if they come)", "Global Login Clan-Based Auto-Specinvite", "User's National Flag", "AVI Video Export" or "Global Login Based Ops/Server Login" to name some things from the feature vote list. So only features that doesn't give you an advantage over the non paid players ingame.

If i pay a mapper then someone like clipz who actually knows how to map. The most mappers these days just come up with some poor map with a few different ways nobody cares about.
The idea of "premium accounts" is not so bad though.

Not all of the new maps are bad. There are lots of maps with potential in my opinion. The problem is more, that mappers aren't interested, are too lazy or what ever to improve their maps (also experienced mapper), because the unfinished maps are playable on match servers anyway and we don't have an official maplist at the moment.
I mention that for years. We need a general change for the map(-ping) part of the game to increase the quality of the current and new maps. Beta only playable on beta servers, official maplist, map signature, etc. are just a few possibilities. The mapping committee might help to implement stuff like this, but unfortunately it has not enough influence and everything needs jitspoe's ok and help.
